Library Lovin'

OK so I love buying fresh, clean, crisp, books but most of them are only read once. What better way to save money then to take advantage of our awesome library system? The kids love going to the library and since they have so much more time now they love it even more. I just take some time every few weeks and reserve the books and DVDs we'll be needing. We follow Susan Wise Bauer's advice, we have a one hour quiet time each day. They can rest, color, do flash cards, free read, listen to classical music, books on tape, that type of thing. It is a much needed break for all of us. Today at the library I came across these books on tape for children by C.S. Lewis. They should be great for the boys to enjoy during quiet time. We also do a movie night/stay up late night every Friday. We cancelled our Hollywood video membership and just get them from the library now which is obviously cheaper. The Four Year Plan gives us suggestions on movies to go with our monthly readings, it's so fun for the kids. This week they're watching 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.

If you're wondering what Stori Telling is doing in that stack...I have no idea!?! I only read educational books:)
