As you know for history we are using the Story of the World by Susan Wise Bauer. It's fabulous, we love it, but starting out in the middle of volume 3...not so much! We were doing this so we'd be on schedule with The Four Year Plan but we didn't like it so we're bagging it! The boys are SO happy about starting at the beginning with Ancient Egypt.
They really like learning about Pharaohs and pyramids, this was a fun project for them.
The library has a good variety of DVDs as well to help them get a real life look.
