After some math, music, Spanish, poetry, spelling, reading and copy work, it was time to take Charlotte Mason's advice and get outside. The weather is beautiful today,
seventy five degrees and
sunny.
It's been too long since we've had it this cool, so we grabbed some food from Chick-fil-A and headed to the park for a picnic. I know, I know, not too healthy, but they do have the fruit cup and juice option AND they gave us some great
science trivia in the kid's meals.
The kids were excited when we chose Chick-fil-A, knowing they'd get something cool like a
book or
Spanish flash cards rather than another junky toy. One time we even scored a
children's book by Dave Ramsey. It teaches about money and how to save, spend and give. I think the outdoors did my soul good, especially after my McCain lost big last night. I'm staying positive so the
bright side is, I now have a better chance of meeting him!?!
