Home Of The Brave

" Be convinced that to be happy means to be free and that to be free means to be brave. Therefore do not take lightly the perils of war." - Thucydides

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." - John Stewart Mill
" We make war that we may live in peace." - Aristotle

"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not." - Thomas Jefferson

“If you have been voting for politicians who promise to give you goodies at someone else's expense, then you have no right to complain when they take your money and give it to someone else, including themselves” - Thomas Sowell

“Bad politicians are sent to Washington by good people who don't vote.”

- William E. Simon
Tuesday, November 4th is our chance to stand for what we believe to be true. To make a difference in the direction this country is going. Will you take control of the power you have and get in line, or will you be too engaged in everyday life to be bothered? I hope we will all do whatever it takes to get in that voting booth. If it means pay a sitter, do it. If it means trade off with a friend, do it. If it means drive a friend who cannot make it otherwise, do it. If it means take time off work, do it. If it means wake up early, do it. If it means miss your ball game, do it. You get my point. The duty is ours, there are no excuses.

I found some great voting themed activities for kids that may make your voting day go smoother. The kids can do them in line or at home. Click here for the link.
