Lessons I'm Learning As A Newbie

1. My mood sets the tone for our school, (maybe obvious but I still need reminding).




2. Preparation and lists are essential to a smooth & productive day.



3. The nature journals are a big hit and a great learning tool.



4. I CAN have a life and homeschool too.



5. Learning happens 24/7 not just during "school hours". I knew this already but now I'm more aware of learning opportunities.



6. Having a supportive husband makes the experience even more positive.



7. Kade's an awesome reader, he just doesn't love it...yet anyway.



8. One of Jaxon's favorite subjects is spelling.



9. The Charlotte Mason method is definitely working for us...at least this year.



10. I love being a homeschool mom, it's challenging but rewarding.
