Great News! My cute parents just got their second mission call. They have been asked to serve full time for 2 years at the new Bishop's Store House in Texas. They will be helping with food orders for struggling families who are getting assistance from the church (I'm not sure on the details). My Mom is currently serving as Relief Society President so this should be a nice break for her. :) My Dad is currently in the High Council so this should be a nice break for him too since he doesn't care much for speaking in public. Their last mission was 19 months at the Washington D.C. Visitors Center. I am so proud of them for their service and example to all of us. I know they'll do a great job as they are both very selfless. Another good thing is they can stay in their beautiful new home and just commute every day. I don't think they'll be so lucky for their next mission, I'm guessing...somewhere foreign, maybe Mexico.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations !!! I did not know they lived in Texas, I thought they were in the SLC area, hmmmm I must not pay close enough attention to news around me. What a great thing they will be doing. Lonnie's parents got to choose were for their 3rd mission, so maybe your parents will be able to too !!!! What great examples of service and no better place to find happiness than through service.
