I'm pledging to do better at providing healthy breakfasts for my kiddos. I love breakfast but I'm also a morning person and that means I'm super busy getting started on my many lists. I was reminded the other day of how important breakfast is to our nutrition. I am also vowing to go back to buying only whole grain cereals so when we are in a hurry they aren't loaded up on sugar. I mean really, why would I want to do that when I'm their teacher? :) It's like giving them a dessert for breakfast (which I've been known to do). I am also bored with the recipes I have so I got this super easy idea from The Pioneer Woman . I didn't follow it exactly, I just used what I wanted or had. Next time I'll throw in veggie sausage but for today I cut up chunks of turkey and it turned out really good.
And there you have it, a super healthy meal. This means your kids won't be saying their hungry again an hour into your school day.
Note* The name, not that your kids are going anywhere but hey maybe you're heading off on your Friday morning field trip!
