Thankful

This first part is an update for my Dad. I think he's having Sophie with drawls! Sophia's hair is getting super long, she doesn't like when I blow dry and curl it but it looks so cute when I do. Here she is looking all grown up, too bad she still won't go to nursery. Kimball and I both teach so we really can't stay in there, she ends up sobbing and they bring her to us every week. When asked where grandpa is she holds her hands up like this and whines, "I don't know." She also constantly reminds us to brush her teeth. I think she just likes eating toothpaste. Communication is getting much easier thanks to baby sign language.

There's nothing like coming home from church (freezing of course) and curling up in my green blanket, with my red fuzzy slippers, plopping down on the couch for a nap and some great football. Way to go VIKINGS!

Like many people, we are doing a 'thankful tree'. Each day we write something we're thankful for on a leaf and add it to the tree. It's been good for us to stop and recognize our blessings. Here is the link for the leaves if you'd like them. The actual tree, I painted from looking at a pottery barn picture and a little free hand (bird and apples). No, I still haven't finished painting Sophia's play area under the stairs, it's still on my 'to do' list. Anyway, back to the 'thankful tree'. Besides being thankful for the Vikings awesome win yesterday, I'm thankful that someone found bunny at Target Saturday and turned her in, and I'm thankful for the enrichment program the boys started this morning. It's every Monday and they're there all day. It's for homeschooler's who want to take elective classes, like...Spanish, acting, P.E., band, science. It will be fun for them to get out and be with other kids, it will also help fill any gaps...AND let's face it, I'm pretty excited to have one on one time with Sophia and some ME time. Other benefits include: state funded so it's free (or paid for with my taxes), they have a library with homeschool curriculum that's available to us, so if we want to try something new, we can for free. We'll see how it goes, they were pretty excited about it but Kade warned me he'd be a little shy at first. I have been waiting for them to get some availability for Monday's and they finally did. Yay!!

UPDATE: OK so they are back now and they loved it. I'm so glad we have this option!
