Family History

This is a quick lapbook we made. We aren't quite finished with it. Jaxon is still waiting for a few responses from his grandparents before he puts their responses on the back. He asked them things like, date of birth, birth place, # of siblings, what was happening in the world when they were born. He is really excited to read all their answers.

Art: Drew a picture about the destruction after the crucifixion (his idea).

Today's Sparks: During our read aloud, the Minnesota massacre was mentioned. Jaxon expressed his interest in learning more about it so he was given some time to learn about it on the Internet. Kade decided he wanted to have a heavy reading day, so for the first time ever, he spent a few solid hours reading The Magic Tree House books. He was SO pleased with himself. It's been fun to see how happy he gets when he hears something and then recognizes it from something he's read. Also, after watching the religious movie, he got very excited to go and draw a picture about it. I had other plans for his art today, but oh well.
