Read: Bible Luke 4, Doctrine & Covenants section 8, The Chosen,
Audio: Listened to a talk from a TJED conference (It was good, it helped remind me to look at the big picture. What do I want to accomplish? What's my life mission? It also encouraged me to put in the work necessary to accomplish these things.)
Today's Sparks: Kade got an invite to be in a book club with some of his friends today. They will be reading The Magic Tree House books. He was so excited when he heard, he got right on the phone & called Kimball to tell him the good news. Jaxon wants to learn more about the rain forest, I'm not sure why, but we'll go with it.
It was a very busy but fun day. The second DVD on Ronald Reagan was good too, not as good as the day before but still, great. We had a good time discussing family history and look forward going further with it.
I got feeling like we didn't get much accomplished as I had planned, but looking back we did quite a bit and the kids had a LOT of friend/play time. Everyday Jaxon likes to have a "to do" list. This morning he wrote that he wanted to score 2 goals at soccer. I'm happy to say he did! There's now several older, bigger kids who go. I guess his days of being the oldest and the best player on the "team" are gone. I thought he'd be bummed, but he wasn't. Instead, he told me how great one of the big kids was and seemed happy to have the new challenge...another advantage to home school groups.
