Get a board and sand it down a bit, paint it the color you want, remembering to also paint the sides of your big letter. Stencil the letters with paint and if you like the non stencil look just fill in the spaces to make a solid letter. You can also sand lightly after stenciling to give a more shabby look. Once it's dry, stain it a bit and wipe off with a cotton tee shirt type rag. Buy a letter from the craft store and choose a cute pattern of scrapbook paper. You'll trace it, then cut and glue on with Modge Podge, making sure you use plenty around the edges. When letter is dry you can stain and wipe it as well. If you'd like to add glitter/sparkle dust do so when it's still a little wet. Tie some cute ribbons to your letter and stick it on your board with craft/multipurpose glue. SUPER EASY! We also did this for Christmas
Now for some Halloween decor, I have a hard time spending money on Halloween stuff for some reason. Maybe because it's all so ugly, but the kids love it so you have to do something!

Where did I get the board? It was a church craft day called "Super Saturday", so they had all the supplies I needed. I know at Home Depot you can just choose the size and ask them to cut it the length you want. :)

ReplyDeleteDO you do a Super Saturday once a month? SOunds like lots of fun....these are great. When I was in MOPS, everytime we would do a craft it would look like my preschooler did it. Too much talking, not enough working, but we only had about 30 minutes to do them.
