This is what I will replace it with as soon as the weather gets below 100! I'm just not feeling the fall thing yet here in Arizona. I got this idea from Kimba last week and had to be a big fat copy cat. Check hers out at A Soft Place To Land if you haven't already, it's much prettier. Thanks Kimba. :)
I was super thrifty on this and got all the dried stuff for 50% off at Hobby Lobby, The purple grass from my yard, the potato sack fabric from Walmart under $1, the frame from Goodwill for $3.50 (I just sprayed it cream), and the bucket for $2.50.
Total cost approx $19-20
I love your bucket, right down to the colors and ribbons you used, so pretty!!!

I love it! It's beautiful! You really did a great job.
ReplyDeleteI love that you added in some stuff from your yard. Very cool!
I saw your post below about your parent's new mission assignment. How nice that they get to stay at home for a while. I'm sure they will be a huge blessing to the people they serve.
I think it's very cute, I've never been to the Hobby Lobby now I'm going to have to check it out. I got your message and only remember to call during school hours so I'll talk to you soon.
ReplyDeleteJessica,
ReplyDeleteHi! Nice to 'meet' you through your blog. Love the last two 'fakes' the most. And noticed your homeschool blog. This is my first year too...we're doing the classical model as well. Check us out at lifeingrace.blogspot.com. Oh, and big Dave Ramsey fan too. It's fun to find people that you know you'd be friends with if they lived next door!
my favorite is your newest addition! lOoks great!
ReplyDelete2 thumbs up!
ReplyDeletewhere do you have a HL in AZ? We live in AZ (Ft. H) and there is no HL for miles and miles! I want to sob!
ReplyDeleteOh, and #2 needs to go!
I like your topiaries, but I have to agree with you about covering up the green styrofoam, lol. The framed fall arrangement you made is FABULOUS! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI always think that simpler is better. If you feel like the space is just a little over crowded then maybe it should go somewhere else. I love the picture frame wreath thingy! I think you're right though. More Grass or Maybe a more colorful ribbon. I also think that a glaze or a crackle finish on the frame might give it richer color. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteOK I've updated the picture of my fall door thing. I took out the beast and added more grass. What a difference that made! I'd still like to switch out the green ribbon for a brighter color. Next time I'm out I'll pick some up. Thanks for the help.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah...Cindy I'm all over your idea about glazing the frame or crackle painting it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYour fakes are great! Deana
ReplyDeleteOhh! Girlie! That last one is fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it turned out beautiful.
Yes, #2 needs to go.
#1 could have some re-vamping potential ... hang onto that cute little twig ball I see hiding in the bottom
I think the wreath is great. Trade out those yellow tulips for some fun fall foliage.
I love the little blinkies on the side of your blog!
Hi Jessica,
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you and Kimball on Saturday night!! Thanks so much for coming, I love my gumballs, they are already gone. You are such great friends.
Love, Tricia
Kimba has some NEAT ideas....I just loved the door thingy!!!
ReplyDeleteI am NOT feeling Fall, either, so don't feel bad about that! I am gathering up stuff, but I am doing NOTHING to get into that swing!
Love the blog!
Part of me still likes the stuff you have, but i guess it's time we moved on! I do like your new wreath/door thingy.!
ReplyDeleteI tried Kimba's ping pong wreath and blogged this past winter about how I failed miserably!!!!!!1
